guadalupe... again

on december 24 during the christmas eve mass here in montalban manila hills subdivision, the commentator announced that the religioius missionaries of the divine savior sisters (a local congregation) were selling two our lady of guadalupe images. before the mass started, i requested a choir member to bring the two to me & i started uncovering them for blessing by fr cyril (a cistercian monk from bocaue, bulacan) right after mass.

the other one i gave to the pacheco family, explaining to the father (hernan) the personal miracles from the lord through her beloved mother, the immaculate conception -- our lady of guadalupe both for me in 2020 & this year 2021 to raphael around her feast day & that of st juan diego (december 9 & 12).

i also bought the two remaining statues with fellow church worker nellie villarba for the bicol pips we will visit in two days.

Mission and Vision: The propagation and encouragement fo DEVOTEES to spread the Divine Miraculous Apparitions at Tepeyac Hill, and to unite eveyrone in the advocacies for PRO-LIFE from WOMG to TOMB & CRIB to CRYPT.

On the Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception in 1531, the Divine Motherhood of Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared before the Aztec Juan Diego in a small hill called Tepeyac. It is to be noted that the Spaniards preached Christianity to the pagans without any real success, for most of those who were baptized were either infants or dying.

Our Lady requested to have a CHAPEL built as a place of worship for Devotees, a house for the Blessed Mother and a center for her exemplified teachings. After the miraculous healing of Juan Diego's uncle and the appearance of the image of the immaculate Mother on Juan Diego's cloak, the Bishop agreed to build a chapel at Tepeyac.

This proved to be the TURNING POINT in the EVANGELIZATION of the Americas, with baptisms and conversions of faith occurring in the tens of thousands each day. The Virgin Mother succeeded in defeating the "feathered snake" god of the pagans, to whom the Aztecs sacrificed many innocent lives each year.

The incorporation of the Immaculate Conception and the Divine Motherhood of Mary depicted in the image of his tilma propagates good values for women nowadays.

Pope John XXIII invoked her as "Mother of the Americas" in 1961, and encouraged pilgrimates to Guadalupe.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Montalban, Rizal, is a response to this call to PILGRIMAGE.
